What type of responsibilities will I have?

• At MarginEdge, we are building out a consulting services team from the ground up. This role would be instrumental in setting up the consulting division, specifically focusing on accounting services.

  We are looking for individuals with experience specifically in QuickBooks online (and preferably other accounting softwares too!) who love teaching people all about accounting. The role will comprise of (but not limited to) the following responsibilities;

  
  

  • Lead our QuickBooks and MarginEdge training sessions with MarginEdge clients (new & existing) to get them set up correctly on Quickbooks

  • Assist our clients with ad hoc accounting services;

    • Answering questions pertaining to bookkeeping, such as bank reconciliations, how transactions are posted in accounting systems, answering some simple to the complex questions regarding a clients days to day accounting

    • Accounting clean up services, to get clients books in tip top shape

    • Reviewing Chart of Accounts

  • Leading Finance Mastery sessions with our clients

  • Working on Commissary implementation projects with existing and new clients, advising of best practices and format to implement and ensuring this works with their existing accounting set up

What qualifications or skills are required?

• Experience using the following accounting softwares;

  • QuickBooks Online

  • QuickBooks Desktop

•   Experience in Restaurant/Hospitality accounting

• Worked with small - mid sized hospitality companies (from single units up to 10-20 units)

• Detail-oriented with excellent organization skills

• Skilled in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite

• Exemplary communication skills

• Adaptable to change as we continue to grow and scale our business

• Can work as a team player but also as a solo artist at times

• Available to work part-time during 9am - 6pm EST Monday through Wednesday

• Empathetic and understanding to our clients need

• Ability to think on your feet and tailor our services to specific client needs

Nice to Haves:

• Experience using the following accounting softwares;

  • R365

  • Sage Intaact

  • Netsuite

• Bonus points if you have used Margin Edge or any RMS at a Restaurant Group before!
